strung up

i gave you an inch
--benefit of the doubt
you pulled it miles out
and wound it round my neck
and now i'm strung up here
and though i hate the height
at least the view is clear

    You've always seemed like the kind of person who'd eschew meter and rhyme entirely, so I've gotta say I'm pleasantly surprised. Nice consonance too!
